Where can I buy cheap belly dancing costumes? I am teaching myself how to belly dance and I need a costume to practice with. i’m actually pretty good and I was wondering if you knew where I can find a store that sells costumes for bellydancing. Or maybe you can tell me how you make one and I can probably make one. I just need to know what materials I would need to use.

Well, I learned how to belly dance by watching videos since 2001, plus it helped that Im Latina and we’re known for shaking it. Anyways, I buy my costumes, accessories from different online stores. Ebay has some great sellers that import their items from Egypt. Also go to http://www.Turkish-Emporium.com they have some great and gorgeous outfits for sale sometimes.
Your cymbals and hip scarf are a must to practice. If you want, just get those two items and later you get some more. Also don’t forget to buy the music, maybe videos? Ross Stores has many videos under 10 dollars of belly dancing by well known belly dancers Amira Mor, Rania among others.

been there made one cost more than to buy if you go to a local class your teacher will sell you a hip scarf w coins for about 40-60.00. She can also help you buy used costomes from other pros got one for 100.00 4 years ago still using it sometimes in my shows
